Rapid Eyes
Jessica Camilli, known professionally as Rapid Eyes, is an artist based in Richmond, Virginia. Born in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in drawing and painting from James Madison University. Camilli's artistic practice encompasses oil paintings and meticulous ink illustrations, with a particular focus on rendering the female form and exploring surreal themes.
Camilli has collaborated with jazz saxophonist Charles Owens on multiple projects, contributing her unique artistic vision to his album covers including 10 YEARS , set for its vinyl debut Fall 2025.
Her work with both OPIN and Charles Owens demonstrates her versatility and ability to adapt her artistic style to accommodate diverse musical genres.
She is passionate about life and enjoys it most when creating art, teaching yoga, or traveling. She balances her time between the lightness and selflessness of yoga and the introspective nature of art-making. Her work has been featured in various exhibitions, including Harrisonburg's annual "The Deck Show" hosted by Sage Bird and is also represented by Quirk Gallery in Richmond VA.
